Summary
This study looks at two common pain medicines, fentanyl and hydromorphone, for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) who need a breathing machine. The goal is to see if one works better for managing pain and sedation. About 300 adults will take part, and researchers will track how much medicine they need and their recovery.
