Fencing fights fatigue: swordplay tested as therapy for hospitalized cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06026046

Summary

This study is testing whether a specially adapted fencing exercise program is practical and helpful for adults with leukemia or lymphoma who are receiving intensive treatment in the hospital. Researchers want to see if this unique form of physical activity can help patients maintain their strength and physical function, which often declines during long hospital stays. The main goal is to check if patients can regularly participate in the fencing lessons throughout their treatment.
