Summary
This study is testing whether transferring gut bacteria from a healthy donor (a fecal transplant) can prevent painful pouch inflammation from coming back in people who had surgery for ulcerative colitis. It compares the real transplant to a sham (fake) procedure in 42 adults whose inflammation keeps returning. The main goal is to see if the transplant helps people stay in remission longer.
