Summary
This study tests whether a 7-day course of antibiotics, chosen based on a stool test, can clear H. pylori infection as effectively as a standard 14-day course. About 544 adults with a first-time H. pylori infection will provide a stool sample for drug-resistance testing and then be randomly assigned to either 7 or 14 days of tailored treatment. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment is just as good, safer, and more cost-effective.
