New therapy aims to ease cancer Survivors' fear of the disease coming back
NCT ID NCT06676228
Summary
This research project had two main goals. First, it adapted a group therapy program designed to help cancer survivors manage the fear of their cancer returning, making it suitable for Turkish culture. Second, it tested this adapted program by comparing it to standard cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in a study with 100 breast and ovarian cancer survivors. The study measured changes in fear, anxiety, coping skills, and quality of life over six months.
