First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a combined PET/MRI scan using a sugar tracer (FDG) can pinpoint the exact source of chronic pain that lingers after joint surgery. About 128 adults with persistent pain or no pain will be scanned and followed for up to a year. If successful, the method could help doctors target treatments more precisely.
