First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests if a special type of PET/CT scan (FDG-PET/CT) is better than a regular CT scan for monitoring metastatic breast cancer. About 420 adults with newly diagnosed metastatic breast cancer will be randomly assigned to one of two scan schedules. The goal is to see if the PET/CT scan helps doctors find cancer progression earlier, leading to quicker treatment changes and longer survival.
