First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study is testing high doses of the antiviral drug favipiravir in healthy volunteers to see if it is safe and how the body handles it. About 39 healthy adults will take either favipiravir or a placebo for 14 days. The goal is to understand side effects and drug levels in blood and sperm, not to treat any disease.
