New combo therapy aims to fight debilitating cancer fatigue
NCT ID NCT03772834
Summary
This study is testing whether combining a stimulant medication (methylphenidate) with a structured exercise program works better than exercise alone to reduce severe, persistent fatigue in men with prostate cancer. It involves about 200 patients who are starting radiation and hormone therapy. Participants are assigned to different groups to compare the effects of the drug, exercise, stretching, or a placebo over 12 weeks.
