Tired body or tired mind? study tests which hurts balance more
NCT ID NCT07620860
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how being physically or mentally tired affects balance, reaction time, and body awareness in healthy young adults. Researchers will make participants tired through push-ups, squat jumps, or a challenging computer task, then test their balance and reaction speed. The goal is to understand which type of fatigue causes the most trouble, which could help improve safety in sports and daily life.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help design better fatigue management strategies for athletes, workers, and anyone whose safety depends on balance and quick reactions.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage observational study in healthy volunteers, so results may not apply to older adults or people with medical conditions. The fatigue protocols are short and artificial, so real-world fatigue may differ.
