Can Dads' involvement stop the baby blues? new study tests simple program
NCT ID NCT02010840
Summary
This study tested whether a special education program for first-time parents, which actively includes fathers, could help prevent depression after having a baby. Researchers worked with 388 couples in Hong Kong, comparing those who got the extra support to those who received standard care. The program involved a single group session during pregnancy and two follow-up phone calls to see if it improved parents' mood, relationship, and overall well-being.
