Summary

This study looks at children aged 1 month to 18 years who are fasting before planned surgery with anesthesia. The goal is to find out how often low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) happens and what blood sugar level should trigger treatment. Researchers will measure blood sugar during anesthesia and track risk factors. No new treatments are tested; the aim is to better understand and define the problem.
