Can eating on a schedule fix a fatty liver without weight loss?

NCT ID NCT04899102

Summary

This study is testing if time-restricted eating (a form of intermittent fasting) can reduce fat in the liver for adults who have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) but are not obese. Researchers want to see if this lifestyle change, independent of major weight loss, can be an effective treatment. The study will measure liver fat, body fat distribution, diet, and quality of life in about 25 participants.
