Could skipping meals boost cancer treatment? new fasting study explores
NCT ID NCT06386887
Summary
This study is exploring whether a specific eating schedule, called intermittent fasting, is safe and helpful for people with ovarian cancer who are receiving chemotherapy before surgery. Researchers want to see if not eating for 16 hours a day on certain days can improve patients' quality of life and treatment outcomes compared to following standard diet advice. They will enroll about 20 participants to carefully check if this approach is practical, safe, and acceptable during a challenging time.
