Fasting diet trial aims to ease breast cancer Treatment's cholesterol burden

NCT ID NCT06610565

Summary

This study is testing whether a special diet that mimics fasting can help reduce high cholesterol, a common side effect of certain breast cancer medications. It will involve 60 post-menopausal women with early-stage breast cancer who are already taking aromatase inhibitors and have high cholesterol. Researchers want to see if repeating cycles of this short-term diet is safe, feasible, and effective at lowering cholesterol levels.
