Summary
This study looks at what happens in the body and mind during and after a long fast of 5 or more days. About 300 adults who are overweight or have diabetes will fast under medical supervision, then slowly reintroduce food. Researchers will track weight, blood sugar, diet, and well-being for up to three months using online surveys, a glucose monitor, food photos, and at-home blood tests. The goal is to better understand how the body adapts after extended fasting and offer practical guidance for healthy fasting.
