Race against time: new program aims to slash heart valve surgery waits
NCT ID NCT05237804
Summary
This study tested a program designed to reduce the waiting time for a critical heart valve procedure called TAVI. It combined online patient education tools with changes to hospital coordination. The goal was to see if this approach could get more patients their needed treatment within two months, as long waits can be dangerous for people with severe aortic stenosis.
