Race against time: bypassing scans to save stroke patients
NCT ID NCT07460713
Summary
This study is testing if taking patients suspected of having a major stroke directly to the procedure room (angiography suite) for treatment, instead of first stopping for a CT or MRI scan, leads to better recovery. It will involve 568 adults who arrive at the hospital within 6 hours of stroke symptoms starting. The main goal is to see if this faster approach helps more people regain independence 90 days after their stroke.
