New scanner could cut critical minutes off stroke diagnosis

NCT ID NCT05458908

Summary

This study is testing a new type of CT scanner designed to be used right in the operating room. The goal is to see if it can tell the difference between a stroke caused by a clot and one caused by bleeding as accurately as the standard hospital scanner. If it works, doctors could diagnose and begin treatment for stroke patients much faster, which is crucial for recovery.
