Cancer treatment in days, not weeks: new study aims to slash radiation wait times

NCT ID NCT07079098

Summary

This study is testing a faster way to plan and deliver a precise type of radiation therapy (SBRT) for people whose cancer has spread to up to five spots in their body. Instead of scheduling a separate planning scan and waiting over a week, doctors will use a recent diagnostic scan to create the treatment plan immediately. The goal is to see if this faster method is safe and effective for treating these limited cancer spots.
