Shorter scan, same accuracy? new prostate cancer test aims to cut costs and time

NCT ID NCT05046782

Summary

This study aimed to test a shorter, less expensive type of MRI scan for detecting prostate cancer. The goal was to see if this new scan, which doesn't use contrast dye, could find cancer as accurately as the standard, longer MRI. The study was designed for men with confirmed prostate cancer who were scheduled for surgery or a targeted biopsy. However, the trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
