New method aims to slash wait time for cancer pain relief

NCT ID NCT07117032

Summary

This study is testing a new, faster process for delivering targeted radiation to relieve severe abdominal pain caused by pancreatic cancer. Instead of scheduling a new scan and waiting over a week for a treatment plan, doctors will use a patient's existing diagnostic scan to plan the radiation therapy immediately. The goal is to see if this streamlined approach is safe and practical for getting patients pain relief more quickly.
