Five-Minute liver scan? new MRI trial aims for speed and simplicity
NCT ID NCT05294471
Summary
This study is testing a new, automated MRI scanning method designed to measure liver fat and iron much faster than current techniques. Researchers aim to create a reliable, 'single-button' scan that takes less than five minutes in the machine. They are recruiting 200 participants, including healthy adults and people with known or suspected liver fat or iron overload, to test the speed and accuracy of this new approach.
