Race against time: new test aims to spot heart attacks hours sooner
NCT ID NCT00470587
Summary
This study aimed to find faster ways to diagnose or rule out a heart attack in people arriving at the emergency room with chest pain. Researchers tested new blood markers that might work sooner than the current standard test, which can take hours to show results. They followed 10,000 patients to see if these new markers could lead to quicker and more accurate diagnoses.
