Race against time: new test aims to speed up Life-Saving antibiotic decisions in ICU

NCT ID NCT07403474

Summary

This study is testing a new strategy to help doctors choose the best antibiotics faster for critically ill patients who develop pneumonia while on a breathing machine (ventilator). Researchers will compare a fast lab test combined with a treatment guide to the usual slower methods. The goal is to see if this approach gets patients on the most effective antibiotic treatment within 24 hours.
