New nasal spray aims to calm social anxiety during public speaking

Summary

This study tests a nasal spray called fasedienol (PH94B) for quickly reducing anxiety during a public speaking task in adults with social anxiety disorder. About 60 participants will receive either the spray or a placebo and rate their distress levels. The goal is to see if the spray is safe and effective for on-the-spot anxiety relief.
