Can farming tools and training for pregnant moms prevent hunger and improve baby health?

NCT ID NCT07043647

Summary

This study is testing whether a farming support program can prevent food scarcity and improve health for pregnant women and their babies in Kenya. The program provides seeds, irrigation pumps, training, and access to a demonstration farm. Researchers will enroll 410 pregnant women, half living with HIV, to see if the program leads to better birth weights, less food insecurity, and healthier infant growth compared to women who receive usual care.
