Blood protein may reveal hidden scarring in arthritis patients
NCT ID NCT07393217
First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at a blood protein called FAP, which is linked to tissue scarring and inflammation. Researchers will measure FAP levels in people with rheumatoid arthritis, systemic sclerosis, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if FAP levels relate to disease activity and lung problems, which could help doctors monitor these conditions better in the future. Participants will give a blood sample and continue their usual care without changes.
