Summary

This study tested two smartphone apps to help people cut down on risky drinking and improve family relationships during the COVID-19 pandemic. 398 pairs of drinkers and their family members participated. One app focused on the drinker, the other involved the family. The goal was to see which approach worked better at reducing heavy drinking days and emotional distress.
