Family help could cut PTSD treatment dropouts in half
NCT ID NCT05267665
Summary
This study tests whether involving family members in PTSD therapy helps Veterans stick with treatment and get better results. Veterans starting standard PTSD therapy will have their family members randomly assigned to receive either a brief 2-session family support program or no additional support. Researchers will measure whether Veterans whose families get the extra support complete more therapy sessions and show greater improvement in PTSD symptoms over 26 weeks.
