Can family therapy ease the pain of losing a loved one to cancer?
NCT ID NCT00580515
Summary
This study tested whether family therapy sessions help families communicate and support each other better when a loved one has advanced cancer and after that person passes away. Researchers compared standard care to two different therapy programs (6 sessions vs. 10 sessions) involving multiple family members. The goal was to see if structured family support could reduce depression and distress during this difficult time.
