Family ties: can your parents predict your metabolism?
NCT ID NCT07594613
First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether resting metabolic rate (the calories your body burns at rest) is similar between biological parents and their adult children. Researchers will measure metabolism and body composition in 30 parent-child pairs. The goal is to understand how much of our metabolism is inherited, which could help with future research on weight and health.
