NCT ID NCT07251764
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at 140 critically ill patients to see if the difference between glucose levels in the blood and in the tissue (called the glucose gap) can help doctors understand metabolism and predict patient outcomes. The goal was to find a simpler, less invasive way to monitor energy use in the body compared to current methods. The research focused on how this glucose gap relates to organ function and survival in the ICU.
