Virtual exercise program aims to prevent falls in older veterans

NCT ID NCT07206368

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a virtual group exercise program combined with health education can lower fall risk and increase physical activity in veterans aged 55 and older who have obesity and signs of muscle loss (sarcopenia). Participants will be randomly assigned to either the exercise-plus-education group or an education-only group. The study aims to find a safer way to help these veterans stay active and independent without the muscle-weakening effects of weight loss alone.
