Can a nerve block predict headache relief? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07487649

First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study is for people with medication-overuse headache, a condition where taking too much pain medicine makes headaches worse. Researchers want to find out which patient factors (like age or headache history) affect how well a nerve block injection works. 70 adults will get an ultrasound-guided injection and report their pain and medicine use for one month. The goal is to learn who benefits most, not to test a new treatment.
