Summary

This study looked at how severe facial palsy changes the brain's ability to recognize emotions and control facial movements. Sixteen patients had their brain activity measured with a non-invasive MEG scanner before and after reconstructive surgery. The goal was to understand brain plasticity and how emotion recognition may improve after surgical rehabilitation.
