Simple Eye-Closing trick may sharpen Pre-Surgery measurements
NCT ID NCT07297849
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether closing your eyes for 3 minutes can improve the quality of a key eye measurement (keratometry) used before cataract surgery. The measurement is often less accurate in people with dry eye. Researchers will compare measurements taken before and after eyelid closure in 29 adults who have a warning on their initial measurement. The goal is to see if this simple, quick method can help make cataract surgery results more predictable.
