Scientists decode DNA of rare eye tumors to unlock new treatments
NCT ID NCT06861647
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at the DNA of eye cancers (ocular melanoma) from 58 patients to find genetic changes that cause the cancer to grow and spread. By comparing samples taken at different times and from different parts of the same tumor, researchers aim to understand how these cancers evolve. The goal is to use this knowledge to develop better treatments and monitor the disease through blood tests.
