Summary

This study aimed to test the safety of a new procedure for Type 1 diabetes. Researchers planned to transplant insulin-producing cells into the front part of the eye in six participants who already had vision problems. The main goal was to see if this unusual location was safe and if it could help improve blood sugar control without causing eye damage.
