Tiny plug vs. eye drops: new test for Post-Surgery comfort

NCT ID NCT04371445

Summary

This study is testing a small, dissolvable steroid insert placed in the eye's tear duct against standard steroid eye drops. The goal is to see which method better controls pain and inflammation after surgery for certain retinal conditions. It's for adults having a specific type of retina surgery and aims to see if the insert, which works continuously, is more effective than drops that patients must remember to use.
