New eye scan could sharpen fight against blinding disease
NCT ID NCT03803631
Summary
This study tested a new, non-invasive eye scan called OCT angiography to see if it could better monitor patients with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) who were receiving standard treatment. Researchers enrolled 49 patients to see if this scan could detect subtle changes in abnormal blood vessels and early signs of the disease returning. The goal was to see if this scan provides useful information beyond current standard imaging methods.
