Doctors look into eyes to see heart health

NCT ID NCT03739073

Summary

This study explored whether detailed eye scans could predict resistance in the small blood vessels of the heart. Researchers examined 101 adults with moderate coronary artery narrowing, taking measurements from both their heart arteries and their eyes. They used computer learning to see if eye scan patterns could estimate heart vessel resistance, aiming to find a simpler, non-invasive way to assess heart disease risk.
