Could a simple eye scan spot Parkinson's years earlier?

NCT ID NCT07244640

Summary

This study is testing if a quick, non-invasive scan of the back of the eye (the retina) can help doctors diagnose Parkinson's disease in its early stages. Researchers will compare the eye scan's accuracy to a more complex and expensive brain scan currently used for diagnosis. The study will involve 200 participants, including people with early Parkinson's, similar conditions, and healthy individuals.
