New Long-Lasting numbing shot tested for eye surgery pain

NCT ID NCT02381353

Summary

This study compares two numbing medicines for pain relief after surgery to remove an eye. Researchers want to see if a new slow-release injection provides better, longer-lasting pain control than the standard injection. The trial involves 88 adults having eye removal surgery at Mayo Clinic, measuring their pain levels and medication use for three days after surgery.
