Scientists test how the eye feels pain
NCT ID NCT05758753
Summary
This study aims to better understand how nerves function in people with various eye surface diseases, including dry eye and neurotrophic keratitis. Researchers will use a non-invasive test to measure how participants perceive sensations like heat, cold, and vibration on the skin near the eye. The goal is to link these nerve function measurements with patient symptoms and images of the eye's nerves to learn more about these conditions.
