Eye drop showdown: which one is gentler on your tears?

NCT ID NCT07230548

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested four different eye drops used in eye exams to see how they affect the thickness of the tear film in 20 healthy adults. Each person received all four drops on separate days, and their tear film was measured before and up to 4 hours after. The goal is to find which drops are least disruptive to the eye's natural moisture layer.
