First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether intradermal acupuncture (tiny needles placed under the skin) can improve eye surface problems like dryness and irritation that often follow severe facial paralysis. Researchers will compare the real treatment to a placebo needle in 78 adults aged 18-65. The main goal is to see if symptoms improve significantly after 4 weeks.
