Scientists hunt for blood clues to predict diabetic blindness
NCT ID NCT07434362
Summary
This study aimed to find out if certain substances in the blood are linked to the severity of diabetic eye damage. Researchers compared blood samples and detailed eye scans from 90 adults, including people with and without diabetes. The goal was to see if measuring these blood markers could help doctors better understand or predict eye disease progression in diabetic patients.
