Scientists map hidden connections between kidneys, brain, and eyes
NCT ID NCT07358572
Summary
This study aims to understand how chronic kidney disease affects the brain and eyes, not to test a treatment. Researchers will follow 1,500 adults with kidney disease for three years, using brain scans, eye imaging, and memory tests to see if changes in these organs are connected to declining kidney function and thinking skills.
