Scientists search for clues in blood to predict eye treatment success

NCT ID NCT06984822

Summary

This study aims to understand how certain substances in the blood relate to changes seen in detailed eye scans for people with diabetic macular edema (DME), a vision-threatening condition. Researchers will observe 150 patients who are either receiving standard eye injections/implants or are newly diagnosed and untreated. The goal is to find patterns that might help predict which patients will respond best to which treatments in the future.
